During the Rome Grand Prix 2026, Sam Park, Director of Daedo, presented to World Taekwondo the new Gen3 fist protector technology, which is scheduled for introduction in the coming months.
In the same context, the company also unveiled its latest technological advancements aimed at further enhancing the precision, reliability, and performance of electronic body protectors, in line with its ongoing innovation strategy.
A live demonstration of the system is scheduled to take place at the Muju Grand Prix in September 2026, providing an opportunity to showcase the latest developments in a competitive event environment.
Daedo notes that the Gen3 system update process is conducted within the standard evaluation and approval framework established by World Taekwondo, under which all manufacturers submit their respective technical proposals. Following the governing body’s comprehensive review and final alignment of specifications, adjustments were requested to the submitted models in order to comply with the established technical requirements.
This process reflects the standard regulatory procedures within the sport and the continuous evolution of technical specifications defined by the governing body.
