Europe’s Elite Return to Action: Day 2 Ignites the 2026 European Taekwondo and ParaTKD Championships in Munich (DRAWS)

The 2026 European Senior Taekwondo Championships continue this Tuesday, May 12, at the BMW Arena Park in Munich, Germany, with an action-packed second day featuring seven official divisions across Olympic and Para Taekwondo competition.

Today’s schedule includes the Senior Men’s -58 kg and -80 kg divisions, Senior Women’s -53 kg and -62 kg categories, as well as three K44 Para Taekwondo events: Men’s -63 kg, Women’s -52 kg, and Women’s -57 kg.

Categories and Top Seeds

Senior Men’s -58 kg

The Men’s -58 kg division features 25 athletes and is led by Ukrainian star Maksym Manenkov as the number one seed. Belarusian athlete Georgii Gurtsiev enters as the second seed, while Azerbaijan’s Gashim Magomedov and Germany’s Nikolai Yuma Sparre complete the top four.

Senior Men’s -80 kg

A total of 28 athletes will compete in the Men’s -80 kg category. Belarusian fighter Raman Turavinau enters as the top seed, followed by Ukraine’s Kyrylo Hurnov. Greece’s Ioannis Papadopoulos and Germany’s Enis Calik round out the top four seeds.

The division also includes major contenders such as Spain’s Juan Antonio Milán Cánovas, Croatia’s Leon Hrgota, and Iceland’s Gudmundur Floki Sigurjonsson.

Senior Women’s -53 kg

Turkey’s Merve Dincel Kavurat headlines the Women’s -53 kg category as the top seed. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ada Avdagic enters as the second seed, while Great Britain’s Jodie McKew and Germany’s Adiba Asimi are seeded third and fourth respectively.

The division also features strong contenders such as Italy’s Anna Frassica, Israel’s Ariel Vigdor, and Bulgaria’s Erika Karabeleva.

Senior Women’s -62 kg

In the Women’s -62 kg division, Hungary’s Viviana Marton leads the bracket as the number one seed. Croatia’s Dora Mestrovic is seeded second, followed by Czech athlete Petra Stolbova and Germany’s Kim Vivian Habulin.

The category also includes Spain’s Elsa Secanell, North Macedonia’s Miljana Reljikj, and Poland’s Julia Szpak.

Para Taekwondo Takes Center Stage

K44 Men’s -63 kg

Turkey’s Mahmut Bozteke enters as the top seed in the K44 Men’s -63 kg category. Spain’s Joel Martin is seeded second, followed by Israel’s Adnan Milad and Georgia’s Sandro Megrelishvili.

K44 Women’s -52 kg

In the K44 Women’s -52 kg division, Turkey’s Meryem Betul Cavdar leads the draw as the number one seed, while Georgia’s Ana Japaridze enters as the second seed. Serbia’s Marija Micev is seeded third.

K44 Women’s -57 kg

Turkey once again tops the bracket in the K44 Women’s -57 kg division with Gamze Ozcan as the number one seed. France’s Caverzan Sophie is seeded second, while Georgia’s Nata Ochigava enters as the third seed.

Day 2 of the 2026 European Senior Championships promises another thrilling round of elite-level action in Munich, as Europe’s best athletes continue their pursuit of continental glory.
