Sportwerk Champions Camp to Bring Olympic and World Taekwondo Stars to Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf -Germany- is preparing to become one of the leading international meeting points for taekwondo this summer as the second edition of the Sportwerk Champions Camp takes place from August 20 to 23, 2026.

The four-day training experience will welcome cadet, junior and senior athletes, offering participants the opportunity to learn directly from Olympic medalists, world champions and internationally respected coaches.

Caden Cunningham Leads a World-Class Lineup

One of the headline guests will be Great Britain’s Caden Cunningham, the Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalist in the men’s +80 kg division and one of the most prominent athletes of the new generation of European taekwondo.

Brazilian star Milena Titoneli will also take part in the camp. The world silver medalist has established herself as one of Brazil’s leading international competitors and will bring valuable experience from the sport’s biggest stages.

She will be joined by Brazilian world champion Henrique Marques, whose technical quality and competitive success have made him one of the standout names in international taekwondo.

Olympic Experience and Elite Coaching

South Korean Olympic champion Oh Hye-ri will be another major attraction at the camp. The Rio 2016 gold medalist, who is also a coach with the Korean national team, will share the knowledge and experience gained throughout an outstanding career at the highest level.

The coaching lineup will also include renowned Brazilian taekwondo coach Diego Ribeiro, widely recognized for his work in the development and preparation of elite athletes.

Turkish coach Erdal Töre will complete the group of announced specialists, bringing his extensive technical and competitive experience to the Düsseldorf training sessions.

Together, the invited athletes and coaches will provide participants with a unique opportunity to study different training systems, tactical approaches and high-performance methodologies.

Training for Cadets, Juniors and Seniors

The Sportwerk Champions Camp has been designed for athletes from the cadet, junior and senior divisions.

Across four days, participants will be able to improve their technical, tactical and physical skills in an international environment, while also sharing the mat with athletes and coaches from different countries.

Beyond the training sessions, the camp aims to promote sporting exchange, teamwork and the creation of lasting connections within the global taekwondo community.

Accommodation at the Event Venue

The organizers have established a partnership with the four-star Tulip Inn Hotel Düsseldorf Arena, located directly at the event venue.

Participants will have access to a special accommodation offer, with a discount of up to 50 percent announced for camp attendees.
