World Taekwondo’s biggest event of the year is about to begin in Great Britain. All eyes will be on the Manchester Arena from 1 to 3 December 2023.

In the final event of the year 2023, a G10 category event, only the best taekwondists of the 16 of the planet will participate. With these ingredients, we will have a significant quota of Taekwondo stars fighting on three mats for the 100 Olympic Ranking points and the $6,000,000 prize money for the champion.

Let’s review:

At 58kg, we will have three Olympic medallists, Tokyo 2020 reigning Tokyo 2020, Vitto Del Aquilla (Italy), and his podium partners in Japan; Mohamed Jondoubi (TUN), Jun Jang (Korea).
Both the Italian and the Korean are former world champions, joining the trio of favourites, world champions Tae Joon Park (Korea) and Omar Salim (Hungary).
The rest of the athletes are mostly current continental champions in their countries and world medallists.

68 kg
Tokyo 2020 Olympic king Ulugbek Rashitov tops the list in this super category, which will have England’s Bradly Sinden in the spotlight as the Olympic runner-up and two-time world champion competes on home soil. He will be followed by; world champion Hakan Recber (Turkya), Grand Prix champions Javier Perez Polo (Esp), and Jordan’s Said Kareem.

-80 kg.
In the absence of Olympic champion Maksim Khramtcov, Tokyo medallists Saleh Elsharabaty (Jor) and Seif Eissa (Egypt) remain. However, double world champion and Grand Prix super favourite Simone Allesio (Italy) and Carl Nickolas (USA) promise vibrant scenes.

+80kg.
Another big absentee will be Olympic champion Vladislav Larin (RUS). The most relevant at the moment is Rio 2016 Olympic champion, 2023 World and 2022 GP Final champion, African Cheick Cisse. He will have ambitious company in the Taekwondo heavyweights.Deputy Olympic champion Dejan Georgievski, along with world champion Carlos Sansores (2022) will be present in Manchester.

Apart from these stars, everyone is wondering whether British sensation Caden Cunningham will be able to surprise everyone.
