The Taekwondo competition at the European Games is ready to start from June 23 to 26 in Poland with the presence of world champions, Olympians and new emerging talents that threaten to give surprises.
Jade Jones, Adriana Cerezo, Omar Salim, Adrian Vicente Yunta, Vitto del Aquilla, Bianca Walkden, Simone Allesio, Lena Stojkovic, Mervel Dincel, Nadica Bozanic, Magda Wiet, among others will be present.
The Taekwondo tournament will be held in Krynica-Zdrój, where 256 athletes will participate in the Kyrougi competition. The 16 official World Taekwondo categories will be contested.
The European Games will score for the world ranking, attractive for athletes seeking to position themselves for Paris 2024.
Before the beginning of this multi-sport festival, the President of World Taekwondo, Dr. Chungwon Choue, and Jeong Kang Seo, has already arrived in Krynica, under the invitation of Master Sakis Pragalos, President of Europe Taekwondo Union. Accompanying him, the master Slavi Binev, vice president (ETU), secretary general, Antonio Barbarino (ETU), among others.
