The European continent doubles in number of Elite athletes, the former Taekwondo giant, the Asian continent, by obtaining on account of the Olympic ranking, more athletes invited to the Top 16 at the Grand Prix Final.

This tournament, the most important of the year 2023, will be held at the Manchester Regional Arena on 1 and 2 December in Great Britain.

The Europeans will compete with 65 athletes entered, including world and Olympic champions, while Asia has 31 athletes; America has 20 athletes entered; Africa 09 and Oceania will have only one (01) athlete competing.

In addition to getting this significant number of athletes in action, European athletes dominate in number of entries in the eight (08) weight divisions that will be competing in the Grand Prix Final, a G10 category event, being a final step of the final sum of the Olympic Ranking, towards Paris 2024.

A collaborator of ours in Europe, who praised the work of the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) in the last 20 years, explained that for this tournament, «the European supremacy in Taekwondo is even limited, since the Olympic power Russia does not have invited athletes for this Grand Prix, given the problems of that country in the conflict with Ukraine».

The next analysis will be to determine which continent has the highest technical level. This will only be resolved with the final results of the GP on December 3rd, when the tournament will close and will award 6,000 thousand, 3,000 and 1,000 dollars to the winners.
